BIO

Kevin Csolak (pronounced ‘Soh- Lack’) is a professional actor, dancer and singer. He has been privileged to work as a child, teen and an adult on Broadway and television, in films, music videos, commercials, print, Voice Over and Commercial Dance for the past eighteen years. He is represented by Tim Weissman (LA) and Leslie Zaslower (NY) of Don Buchwald & Associates and Katie Rhodes of Untitled Entertainment (LA).

Kevin is presently starring in Bill T. Jones’ Watch Night at the Perelman Theatre in NYC. The show opens November 8th.

During the Actor’s strike, Kevin has been doing workshops and labs of new Broadway shows and has been dancing for music artist, DojaCat.

In the Summer of 2022 Kevin starred as Andrew (Young Pope) in Warner Bros/TNT’s Season 6 of Animal Kingdom to recent high acclaim by fans and insiders alike.

Kevin can be seen in Steven Speilberg’s reboot of the iconic film, West Side Story in the role of Diesel, a member of the Jets. The film has won high acclaim with it’s December 2021 release having already won numerous awards.

Kevin performed in the principal role of A-Rab in Ivo Van Hove’s West Side Story at New York City’s The Broadway Theatre in March 2020 when the pandemic shut down Broadway.

Born in a small town in Central New Jersey, Kevin spent his youth at his mother’s performing arts school. A natural athlete, he spent many years pitching and catching on baseball fields throughout the state. In his teens he could be found messing around with guitars, drums and recording equipment in his father’s music studio. With a homegrown love for and training in the arts, he was signed at the young age of ten with Shirley Grant Management.

Under the expert guidance of Dave McKeown, Laura Van Winkle, and Shirley Grant’s team in NY, Kevin recurred as Daniel Hughes on As The World Turns for CBS and performed at the Hilton Theatre on Broadway (presently The Lyric Theatre) in the original cast of How the Grinch Stole Christmas under the direction of Matt August and Jack O’Brien. The following year, Kevin led the cast of Cirque du Soleil’s Wintuk as Jamie at the Wamu Theatre at Madison Square Garden. He played the role of Dusty in the LAB of Burnt Part Boys at the Vineyard Theatre in NYC.

Kevin’s film experience began as the lead character in a short by Poz Lang called We Could Be Ninjas.  We Made This Movie, a comedy by Rob Burnett followed where he played a star, high school baseball player coincidently immediately following his decision to leave baseball.  He went on to play a runaway opposite designer Marc Jacobs in the SAG feature, Disconnect under the direction of Henry Alex Rubin starring Jason Bateman and Alexander Skarsgard and directed by Rob Burnett.

Kevin danced for Hayley Kiyoko in the 2018 VMA's and for Justin Timberlake in the 2018 Super Bowl 52 Halftime Show.  He had guest-starring roles on Jessica Jones for Marvel, on The MICK for FOX TV, KC Undercover for Disney Channel, Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street for Amazon Prime/Disney and on Mysteries of Laura on NBC.

He was featured in Amy Schumer’s viral and Emmy-winning music video, Girl, You Don’t Need Make Up on Inside Amy Schumer for Comedy Central.  He recurred co-starring as William Thompson in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire with Steve Buscemi and Shea Wigham and co-starred on Blue Bloods with Bridget Moynahan and Tom Selleck.

Kevin was accepted to PACE University's prestigious Musical Theatre Class of 2018. After a year with the program he moved to Los Angeles, California to focus on film and TV.  During that time Kevin was able to follow his passion for the stage and commercial dance by working closely with top LA dance icons and mentors including Marty Kudelka, Ivan Koumaev, Misha Gabriel, Anze Skrube, and others. He is repped by Clear Talent Group for dance.

Kevin has been blessed to meet and work closely with Broadway director and choreographer, Casey Nicholaw and his extended team on projects including the LAB and Atlanta World Premiere of Broadway’s hit musical, The Prom.

Following participation in the LAB and World Premiere at the National Theatre in Washington, DC, Kevin went back to Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre as Shane Oman and understudied the lead of Aaron Samuels in the original cast of Tina Fey's hit musical, Mean Girls.

Kevin was named to The Ensemblist’s Inaugural 2018 list of ‘Ones to Watch’ in 2019 as one of the ‘exciting new talent hitting Broadway Stages this year.’ He was also featured in Pop Culturalist online and in Time Out NY’s Top Ten Hot Boys on Broadway.

Kevin is grateful for having the opportunities to learn from so many seasoned, talented and iconic figures in the industry.  

He continues to strive to learn and work hard to be ready for whatever the next ‘step’ has in store.
